• Are Grether's tooth-friendly?

  The sugar-free varieties Blackcurrant, Redcurrant, Elderflower, Blueberry and Ginger-Lemon are guaranteed to be tooth-friendly. In a scientific test, they were found to be non-cariogenic and non-erosive. In addition, they were awarded the "Zahnmännli" symbol by "Aktion Zahnfreundlich".

• Do Grether's contain lactose?

  No. Grether's are lactose-free.

• Are there preservatives in Grether's?

  No. Grether's do not contain any preservatives. This applies to all varieties.

• Do Grether's contain gluten?

  No. Grether's are gluten-free.

• Are Grether's safe to consume during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

  Grether's are basically safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding and can be enjoyed without any problems. The only exception is Grether's Energy Boost, which is not recommended for pregnant women due to the caffeine it contains.

• Are Grether's a vegetarian product?

  Yes. We offer a vegan line with three flavours: Clear Voice, Fresh Breath and Energy Boost. They naturally give fresh breath, lots of energy and a clear voice.

• Can Grether's be ordered directly from the factory?

  There is no direct sales. But under "Ordering" you will find our partners (pharmacies and drugstores) who offer Grether's - online or on site.

• Can Grether's cause allergies?

  Those who are allergic to individual ingredients of Grether's should rather refrain from consuming it - even if the ingredients are only contained in low concentrations.

• Can Grether's cause side effects or interactions?

  Apart from a laxative effect with the sugar-free varieties, no side effects or interactions are known.

• Why can Grether's have a laxative effect?

  Grether's sugar-free varieties contain sugar substitutes that can have a laxative effect if consumed in excess.

• Can Grether's packaging be recycled?

  The practical Grether's tin is made of tinplate and can be refilled and reused as often as desired. Grether's are therefore also available in the large pack. In principle, the cans can be disposed of in special collection containers - in almost all Swiss municipalities and cities, the metal is collected together with aluminium packaging or separately.

  The refill bag is a composite plastic packaging and may be disposed of in normal household waste. Special plastic collection bags are also sold in various regions. You can find more information about the plastic collection bags here:

• Do Grether's also come in other varieties?

  As Grether's only uses high-quality, naturally pure ingredients and fruit essences with beneficial effects, the process until a new recipe goes into production is very elaborate and lengthy. At the moment, the Grether's range is complete. 

• Is there a BSE risk when consuming Grether's?

  No. Grether's are made exclusively from the gelatine of pork rinds. This eliminates the risk of BSE.

• Are Grether's also suitable for children?

  Grether's are also well tolerated by children with the exception of Grether's Energy Boost due to the caffeine it contains.
